fleet of 177 ships, 30 of them owned, and a container pool of over 340,000 units, it
ranks among the 20 biggest liner shipping companies worldwide. Hamburg Süd employs some 4,200 people around the globe.

Hamburg Süd currently offers about 50 regular liner services, which link South America with Europe, North America, the Mediterranean region, Asia, South Africa as they do Europe with the eastern Mediterranean and India/Pakistan, North America, the 
Caribian and Australia/New Zealand or Australia/New Zealand and the Pacific Islands with Asia, the Caribian and North America.
